The situation seems to improve if I revert to ActiveMQ 5.3.x, but even then the stall occasionally occurs.  I'd suggest we temporarily disable the *TxTest to allow for doing a reproducible 2011.02 release and then fix the issue (which is probably in ServiceMix 3's JcaFlow and/or ActiveMQ instead of the components) for the next release.
