Looks there are some missing types to test in supported types. 

For example, please see https://github.com/apache/spark/blob/c338c8cf8253c037ecd4f39bbd58ed5a86581b37/python/pyspark/sql/tests.py#L4397-L4401

We can improve this test coverage.
