Hi Rukshun,

Welcome to Apache Lens,  I am still very much interested in this task and I am almost done with my draft proposal. However, that should not stop you from applying for the same project as what we seek for is the best proposal which could be yours.

I too had issues building hive on OS X but managed to deal with it. You could share more details about your trouble building hive maybe I or any other person here can help. 

Just put the complete error log on http://pastebin.com for someone to review.
