[jira] [Commented] (CB-6098) Android app initiates long press on home screen before opening

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-6098?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14040824#comment-14040824 ]

Joe Archer commented on CB-6098:
--------------------------------

"Apparently" is not an explanation. A long press on the focused application, initiates whatever function that application has tied to the long press event. It cannot in any way affect the lock status of the screen. This is just your way of saying "I can't be bothered to escalate this, as it doesn't affect me".

Your dismissive attitude is neither helpful nor acceptable in a project of this size. It is little surprise that the development community are abandoning this project in droves.

> Components: Android, CLI
> Affects Versions: 3.4.0, 3.5.0
> Environment: Linux build from CLI, occurs on both emulator and my Nexus 4

> When opening any app (including a build straight after "cordova create") just before the app splash screen is shown, the app appears to initiate a long press on the homescreen, triggering the wallpaper/widgets/settings Android system overlay. This occurs on API 19 and 18 on both the emulator and 2 tested devices.
