different directory name for Jar files

Summary: different directory name for Jar files
           Product: XalanJ2
           Version: CurrentCVS
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Xalan
        AssignedTo: xalan-dev@xml.apache.org
        ReportedBy: paul_roebuck@mac.com

Seems odd to me that the Jar files are distributed in the 'bin'
directory. Since none of them would really be considered binaries
in terms of being executable, shouldn't these be in a directory
named 'lib' instead?
