Syntax error on line 298 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf: Expected </Directory> but saw </Directory>

download the binary (the latest 1.3.17) and try installing. It seems that it gets hung up with the some syntaxes within the httpd.conf file. However, I load the binary of 1.3.9 and it works fine.....I even tried 3.1.14 from the website and it didn't work either...ther 1.3.9 version I had from a cd.

There's no binary up there yet, though :( Since you like Aventail so much
maybe you wanna try?
Meanwhile, I say we throw Bill's machine off the roof.

Apparently, 1.3.17 was compiled with a non-updated version of
xlC. Making sure the 1.3.19 binary doesn't do the same is a good idea.
Let Shane have a shot at the new binary, I say.

Before we go releasing, do one of use aix men want to take a quick look that this
isn't true of 1.3.19? Perhaps give Shane a quick try at the new binary?
