I18N on Win32 clarification

Hi,

I'm trying to get a version control system in place at my work (mainly for
scripts and XML files), and subversion looks like a good contender. However,
the I18N issue mentioned on the Inconveniences page[1] is a bit alarming
(Incidentally, might it be worth mentioning bug 872 on that page?).

What I would like clarification on is whether the I18N issues apply to svn
server or client on win32 (or both).

The setup I would like to run would be svn server on a Linux machine, and
clients on Windows (2000-XP). Would this avoid the I18N issues?

Cheers,
Dave.

That first item should just go away, it's not true any more. Or rather,
issue 872 isn't about conversion not beung supported any more, it's now
about failing to set the console codepage, which doesn't oftebn happen.
