classpath recommendation for building CeltiXfire in eclipse?

Hi,
Apologies in advance if this is RTFM.

Having imported CeltiXfire into eclipse I am missing many libraries to
build the projects (see the end of the mail for the classpath list).
All the libraries are defined with a classpath variable "M2_REPO" as
part of their path. I have however found these libraries in other
projects (Celtix, Xfire and Geronimo). I am concerned if I use the
libraries on my machine that I could come across version problems with
what CeltiXfire is expecting. What is the M2_REPO label (Maven 2.x
Repository?), where should I find these libraries? Or should I proceed
and add in the libraries from other projects to build the CeltiXfire
project in eclipse.

thanks
Margo.

Posted by Paul Hammant <pa...@hammant.org>.
1) Install Maven2
2) go online (hopefully you have no http proxy)
3) do "mvn install" in the root dir ... at least the rootest one that
contains pom.xml
4) setup env var for the maven2 repo either in Eclipse or as System
env var ... whatever makes sense for Eclipse.

Re: classpath recommendation for building CeltiXfire in eclipse?

Posted by Daniel Kulp <da...@iona.com>.
Margo,

How did you setup your eclipse workspace?

If you run "mvn -Psetup.eclipse" from trunk, it should create a workspace
in "../workspace" that is pre-setup and ready to import the cxf projects.
Point your eclipse there, then import the cxf projects. In that workspace,
we pre-setup the checkstyle rules, set the default JDK level to 1.5, turn off
some warnings, turn on others, etc.... It also sets the M2_REPO variable in
the workspace to point to your ~/.m2/repository directory so all the libs are
resolved properly.

From your description, it looks like you tried to import the cxf projects into
a workspace that was not yet "mavenized" (no M2_REPO variable set) or wasn't
setup from the -Psetup.eclipse profile.

Enjoy!
Dan
