Hello,

I was wondering if there were anyone on this list who has experience in
deploying Xindice on a client machine. In particular we want to deploy
Xindice along with a cross-platform application deployed through Java
Web Start.

One initial question is:

Could we pare down the Xindice distribution so that we distribute only
the jarfiles and the config files? What is necessary in order for
Xindice to function correctly? (the user will not be interacting through
xindice except through our application)

Also, if there is someone who has done this I would love to correspond
with you off list to hear any tips or potential pitfalls that stand in
front of us.

thanks for your help...
