Would be good to have more information on this. Can't log in from another IP on shared 1, on shared 2, or a third network? This sounds like a routing issue, where the dhcp lease on shared 2 is replacing the default gateway of shared 1, so it can't get back. Multi-homed instances can be tricky when it comes to routing. How do we tell the virtual router to not provide a gateway for some NICs but do for others?  Perhaps this isn't the issue, but if you could provide the supplemental info that would be good. It doesn't seem it would be KVM specific if the issue was this though.
