This issue was reviewed at the triage meeting on February 5, 2007.
This looks like a problem with older Xalan-J version indicated.

Chritine Li thinks that she worked on this a few years ago around version 2.5.0.

Dave, it is unlikely that someone will volunteer to fix this one for such an old version, would you please try this with a newer version such as 2.7.0 and let us know the result.
