[jira] [Created] (DELTASPIKE-827) Alternative activation for MessageInterpolator does not work

Sven Linstaedt created DELTASPIKE-827:
-----------------------------------------

Summary: Alternative activation for MessageInterpolator does not work
                 Key: DELTASPIKE-827
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DELTASPIKE-827
             Project: DeltaSpike
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Core
            Reporter: Sven Linstaedt

Alternative activation for MessageFormatMessageInterpolator as described in DELTASPIKE-355 does not work, if an other beans.xml than the one in the deltaspike-core-impl.jar is used.

As far as I understand the spec, alternative activation does only apply to the bean archive, the alternative activating beans.xml is in, unless the Priority annotation is used. If you define the alternative in your application#s beans.xml, it would not be picked up as an injection candidate in DefaultMessageContext.

This issue might also apply to other parts of deltaspike, where alternatives are intended as activation switch for different implementations.
