Why tomcat for Java- SOAP application

Hi,
I'm going to develop an SOAP based application and 
I 'm just wondering if I can go for a SOAP based Application/Service
With Apache SOAP and but not with Tomcat.If its possible please let me
Know with both the Pros and Cons of the same.
