Proxy - Why should?

Hello,
maybe it is stupid question but i search the web and can't understand what
are the advantage to use proxy server with Openmeetings.

This might be necessary if you cannot open non-standard ports (5080, 1935)

There are no special advantages. Setting up Openmeetings to work through
proxy is possible yet complex. There was a Chrome bug which prevented
Openmeetings client to work through non-transparent proxy.
