[jira] Commented: (ADFFACES-80) Tip attribute disappeared from
various input components
Joseph Rozier commented on ADFFACES-80:
---------------------------------------
The tip attribute was replaced by the "help" facet which allows for more control over what the tip/help looks like.
It may make sense to restore the tip attribute as a convenience.
However, I'd suggest using the same model as the af:column, which has a "header" facet, but a "headerText" attribute as a convenience. To be consistent, should the convenience attribute for the "help" facet be "helpText" instead of "tip"?

> Tip attribute was there in the original ADF Faces codebase, I think it was either forgotten or left out when the new renderer was created.
> I know some customers using that attribute, so it will be irritating to them if they ever move to Trinidad.
> Was the removal intentional or should it be re-added?
