upgrade to axis2-1.4.x

What would be the difficulties in upgrading to a newer release of Axis2?  The work appears to lie in the service.xml, axis2.xml, and Axis2 isolation layer.  Is there anything I might be missing?  Also, has anyone started this effort yet?
