Progress on the Linux/Apache front...

There have been a series of fixes, as far as I can tell from the
kernel mailing list traffic:
	Linux scheduler
	Some TCP fixes that fixed a problem with Nagle's algorithm
	Select improvements.

So the embarrassment level should decline greatly, once an appropriate
release happens with all of these...
