shiro-guice dependendies

Hi all,

My understanding is that shiro-guice (1.2.4) requires guice 3.0.

I use the wicket 6 framework with shiro and guice right now, but wicket 7
has moved along to guice 4.0.  Shiro seems to be holding me back.  Is my
understanding here correct ?

If so, is there anything I can do to assist to move things forward ?  is
there some progress towards supporting guice 4.0 in a development release
that I can test, perhaps ?
