[users@httpd] Apache Debugging

Hi All;

I appologise if this is not the correct place to be posting such a
question, but does anyone know if it's at all possible to debug Apache so
to see _exactly_ what it's doing when it forks a new child process? 
Something with similar output to strace would be useful.
