How do I put jmeter into "batch" mode?

Does anyone have some knowledge on this? The online manual states that
it is possible but I couldn't find a single piece of documentation as
to HOW to do it.

THANKS! - Yossie

do you mean this?

http://jakarta.apache.org/jmeter/usermanual/get-started.html#non_gui

that should allow you to run in console mode.

I am thinking running it from a command line without a gui, actually.
Ant would be that way, I suppose, but I can't even figure out how to do
that!

I'm not sure what you're referring to, but if you're talking about
having JMeter run on a regular basis like a cron job, you can set it
up with ANT.

or are you thinking of another kind of batch?
