i am sorry, but the file contains only NUL values.

please check if you can find a backup file *.bak in your openoffice user folder,
if you use windows, e.g.: %appdata%\OpenOffice\4\user\backup

Regards
Oliver

RE: Problem with open office data

Posted by "Dennis E. Hamilton" <de...@acm.org>.
Your attached file consists of 16,346 nul (00) bytes. There is no recoverable data in it. It is not a valid ODF Text (OpenOffice Writer) document.

It was apparently saved in a corrupted form. This can happen when OpenOffice is closed improperly or there was a problem with interruption of file saving. Was there a situation that had you force quitting from OpenOffice?

You will need to go back to a backup copy that you had saved before. You *might* be able to find an AutoRecovery version of the file that was the one being worked from.

To minimize this happening in the future, review the OpenOffice Tools | Options | Load/Save | General options for creating backup copies and also saving AutoRecovery information.
