[jira] [Created] (CMIS-415) OpenCMIS Workbench should allow all
visible text to be copied to the clipboard
OpenCMIS Workbench should allow all visible text to be copied to the clipboard
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: CMIS-415
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CMIS-415
Project: Chemistry
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: opencmis-workbench
Environment: n/a
Reporter: Peter Monks
The OpenCMIS Workbench application doesn't currently support copying of text that it displays to the clipboard. This is particularly problematic for cmis:id's, which can be long and difficult to manually transcribe to other tools. Ideally however, all text displayed in the Workbench (not just cmis:id's) would be copyable to the clipboard.

Florian Müller commented on CMIS-415:
-------------------------------------
Basically all displayed values can already be copied to the clipboard. Tables have a "Copy to clipboard" context menu and other values can be selected and copied with keyboard shortcuts.
Is there a particular value you want copy that is not covered?

Peter Monks commented on CMIS-415:
----------------------------------
Looks like I was running an old version I picked up via WebStart from goodness-knows-where (possibly http://cmis.alfresco.com/). I just downloaded the last nightly build (Version: 0.5.0-SNAPSHOT / Build: 20110803-2227) which does indeed render text in a copyable way.
Perhaps it would make sense to create a WebStart link from http://incubator.apache.org/chemistry/cmis-workbench.html and possibly also http://incubator.apache.org/chemistry/opencmis.html so that there is one, definitive source for obtaining the workbench via WebStart?
