Tomcat / Apache and Cocoon

I've installed Tomcat and Apache, I've made the module mod_jk, but if I
start Tomcat and then start Apache (with the config file for mod_jk)
then I only get to see this: 

jk_post_config NULL
./apachectl start: httpd started

But httpd is nog started, and I can find anything in all the logs
(apache, tomcat and mod_jk)...
Does anyone know the solution to this problem?

I'm using Apache 1.3.12 and Tomcat 3.2b5 (also does not work with beta
4)...
