[PR] [FLINK-36014] [runtime] Align the desired and sufficient resources definiton in Executing and WaitForResources states [flink]
ztison opened a new pull request, #25307:
URL: https://github.com/apache/flink/pull/25307
## What is the purpose of the change
The desired and sufficient resources were defined differently in the `WaitingForResources` and `Executing` states. This PR unifies the resource definition in these states.
## Brief change log
- New configuration `jobmanager.adaptive-scheduler.executing.resource-stabilization-timeout` is introduced.
- The `Executing` state newly defines resources based on the available resources from the context.
- The `RescalingContoller` and it's two implementations were removed.
- The `jobmanager.adaptive-scheduler.min-parallelism-increase` was deprecated.
## Verifying this change
Most functionality is covered by the existing tests in the `ExecutingTests` and `AdaptiveSchedulerTest` classes.
The new parametrized test `ExecutingTests.testInternalParallelismChangeBehavior` was added to cover a new behavior.
## Does this pull request potentially affect one of the following parts:
- Dependencies (does it add or upgrade a dependency): no
- The public API, i.e., is any changed class annotated with `@Public(Evolving)`: yes
- The serializers: no
- The runtime per-record code paths (performance sensitive): no
- Anything that affects deployment or recovery: JobManager (and its components), Checkpointing, Kubernetes/Yarn, ZooKeeper: no
- The S3 file system connector: no
## Documentation
- Does this pull request introduce a new feature? yes
- If yes, how is the feature documented? docs
