Build Docs

Hey folks,

Was poking around the code base trying to get familiar with what's been
pushed up. Do we have any docs on how to build and run stuff? I noticed
some endpoint documentation in the README but didn't see anything else.
Hopefully I'm not just blind =)

I’m poking this too. Beyond the obvious, what’s actually being done
on the project doesn’t seem to be reported on a regular basis here.
We need to start reporting and using these lists and putting docs,
doing development, communicating, and building a community here at
Apache.

As much as I’d like to say we aren’t simply doing this, I can also
attribute some of this to lack of prolonged and persistent engagement
from the mentoring side. I’ll try and step up on that part for myself.
