Description:
The IDEA plugin is really pretty nifty.  I like the concept of not checking in project files, rather that the user generates their own project file that relates to their own repository location and whatnot.  We've had issues in the past with having to have files in the exact same locations between machines, as well as explaining why that is and making sure that people don't accidentally check in their project files and clobber everyone else's project files.

But my experience has been that I tend to add all the sourcepath and classpath entries of all my subprojects into my master project.  The plugin doesn't facilitate that, it simply works on the current project.  

I would try a patch, but I don't know the object model well enough to navigate the POMs and iterate the root generators in the project.xml.
