[jira] [Created] (REEF-506) Make Driver call DriverRestartActiveContextHandler instead of have the Evaluator decide when to call it

Andrew Chung created REEF-506:
---------------------------------

Summary: Make Driver call DriverRestartActiveContextHandler instead of have the Evaluator decide when to call it
                 Key: REEF-506
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/REEF-506
             Project: REEF
          Issue Type: Sub-task
Components: REEF Driver, REEF Runtime YARN, REEF-Runtime-HDInsight
Environment: REEF YARN and HDInsight with Driver Restarts
            Reporter: Andrew Chung

Currently, we are using the status as provided by contextStatusProto.getRecovery() from the Evaluator to know whether we should call DriverRestartContextActiveHandler, as seen in ContextRepresenters.java. As the driver, we should know whether we have restarted or not and call the handler based on our own judgment instead of the Evaluator's judgment.
