PROBLEM:

Ambari 1.6.1, checks if hadoop.ssl.enabled=true is set in core-site.xml to determine the namenode UI. 

This is deprecated property in HDP 2.x, the proper property is 

dfs.http.policy
whose value can be
HTTP_ONLY
HTTP_AND_HTTPS
HTTPS_ONLY

If the value is 'HTTPS_ONLY', namenode UI should point to the https version.
