[jira] [Comment Edited] (BIGTOP-302) 1. Start a separate Wiki page on Installing Bigtop in VMs (VirtualBox) (make sure to record the fact that one needs >> 2GB of RAM) 2. Record the experience with 32bit OSes

It still may be nice to have a wiki page with tips and tricks regarding running the VMs, even though these would apply to any other VM and are more context dependent.
We could create a "Virtual Machine" section on the main page ( https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/BIGTOP/Index )

Cos> Note also that the VM creation has been automated for months. See http://bigtop01.cloudera.org:8080/job/Bigtop-VM-matrix/
Not sure why it was deactivated, but I re-activated it.

> I was able to successfully run a 64-bit guest OS (ubuntu) on a 32-bit host OS with a 64-bit processor using VirtualBox. This required changes to the BIOS settings to enable hardware based virtualization support. Where do we document this ? "How to install Hadoop distribution from Bigtop" wiki page might not be the right place.. Do we create another wiki page for virtualBox/VM installation instructions ?
