payment cancel button on order detail page

Hi,
 
Does the cancel button on payment information section of order detail page
release credit card transaction from credit card service provider ?   The
link behind the button is linked to "updatePaymentPreference", it doesn't
call payflowCCVoid module in my test.  I have set payflowCCVoid in payment
page of product store.  Is there anything else I need to do for void
transaction to work ?
