Date Picker

If i use the date picker and scroll down the image comes down throught  the screen and  can i not change the format as dd//mm//yyyy

i saw the datepicker.html 

it is in the format of  dd mmm yyyy

tell how to do for the closing  

or tell to create some customized component

  translator="translator:date,pattern=dd//MM//yyyy" ... />
