<pctony> James, it looks like you didnt use the REST APIs to do the import yourself. The issue we had with importing projects persists. In so much as the invariably dont version match (jira is very fussy about this) and they get stuck in the queue, as each attempt takes a massive effort to make it work.

> Phoenix was recently accepted as an Apache incubator project. We have an existing Github project from which we'd like to import the issues into our JIRA at https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PHOENIX. I've attached the CSV file as a compressed tar:
> - produced by https://github.com/kylecordes/ghijira
> - includes issues and comments
> - we've remapped the github user name to Apache id
> - we use the Milestone field to indicate for which release we're targeting the fix
> Please let me know if you need additional information. Thanks!
