Symptoms:

the caching proxy server is working !!!! 

now can the proxy override the CacheNegotiatedDocs pragma ? 
and indiscriminatly proxy everything, THAT would be great.

Also in the wish list, FTP caching, gopher Caching etc.

all in all a great job guys well done.

Oh btw inet_aton can be found in the gated distribution in case you are too lazy :-)
