According to https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Accessibility
(last modified 2013 Oct 17):
'OpenOffice interacts well in general with the VoiceOver screen reader
that is built into Mac OS X' as well as with various assistive
technologies under MS Windows and under GNU/Linux GNOME.
Is this not true?

This might not be true, as there is an unconfirmed bug report
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=122839 "VoiceOver not able
to track writing cursor and read entered text"

For people reproducing the bug: please add your comment to the bug
report in bugzilla (bug reports on mailing lists have usually no
visibility to developers - they tend to be too busy to follow every
message on every mailing list).
