The Release Candidate is good for production/GA:

   [ ] no / -1

My vote is based on

   [X] binding (member of PMC)

[X] I have built and tested the RC from source on platforms:
       [ Linux (x86_64 and x86), Windows, macOS ]

[X] I have tested the binary RC on platform [ Linux x86_64 ]

SHA sums and GPG signatures were verified for sources and Linux binaries.

Linux binaries were built using the build scripts from SVN (Linux x86
required a small modification due to libgio not present on Centos 5
x86).

macOS build was conducted on macOS Catalina system.

Best regards,

Isn't Rosetta installed as default? I didn't have to do all this, it
just worked.

[DISCUSS] Release AOO 4.1.14-RC1 as GA

Posted by Matthias Seidel <ma...@hamburg.de>.
Hi Peter,

This should not be in [VOTE] but in [DISCUSS], we should keep the thread
"clean".

I installed the X64 version of Adoptium JAVA 11 on our M1 machine and
could open the file without problem.

So this would be something for the Release Notes, macOS section?

Regards,

   Matthias

I am not able to load the file from issue 81233.

1) Download file

2) open file with AOO RC1

3) java missing (ok, installing tamruin Java - the former Adopt Variant.)

4) Preference shows the Version

5) File load fails as if no java is there

6) on close i get a crash report

note: the Java version is a Silicon compiled variant. I suspect it is
incompatible with our bridge.

I hope I have more soon.

All the best

I checked the SHA256 and SHA512 CRCs for the Linux x64 and Windows x86 main installer in en-US and for the PT language pack binary

I switched UI language under Linux Ubuntu 20.04 x64 and Windows 10 Home 22H2 x64 by using the en-US installer plus the PT language pack.

On Linux Ubuntu 20.04 x64 I opened ODT, ODS, ODP, ODG and ODF as well as DOC, XLS, PPT and DOCX, XLSX and PPTX files without any issues.

All the best,
Pedro

Re: [VOTE] Release AOO 4.1.14-RC1 as GA

Posted by Carl Marcum <cm...@apache.org>.
The Release Candidate is good for production/GA:

    [X] yes / +1

    [ ] no / -1

My vote is based on

    [X] binding (member of PMC)

[X] I have built and tested the RC from source on platform [CentOS 7 x86-64]

[X] I have tested the binary RC on platform [CentOS 8 x86-64, macOS Ventura M2]

I built the sources and ran the BVT and FVT automated tests 3 times each.
No test failed all 3 times.

I verified the checksums and signature for the source archive and that they included LICENSE and NOTICE files.

I verified the checksums and signature for the binaries for Linux x86-64 rpm archive and MacOS dmg including the SDK's.

I installed the RPMS on CentOS 8 (freedesktop integration) and the dmg on macOS Ventura and tested both for common file open/edit/save workflows and tested a few macros.

Best regards,
Carl

The SourceForge mirrors are now ready, we could release at any time we want.

Remembering that Microsoft does not work on weekends, I would prefer to
do it on Sunday evening. This way AOO 4.1.14 would be available in the
Microsoft Store early next week.

What do others think?

Microsoft has changed the Store recently, so an installed AOO is
detected as "installed".

Hopefully it now detects the new release and let's user install the
update...

I have re-uploaded the signed Windows binaries to /dist/dev and rsynced
all artifacts to our staged dir on SourceForge.

Hi All,

The Release Candidate is good for production/GA:

   [X] yes / +1

   [ ] no / -1

My vote is based on

   [X] binding (member of PMC)

[X] I have built and tested the RC from source on Windows 10 64-bit

[X] I have tested the binary RC on Windows 7 32-bit, Windows 10
64-bit, Windows 11 64-bit and Ubuntu 16.04 64-bit (German Full
Installation). Additionally I tested Language Packs (en-US, pl) on
Windows 7 32-bit
