Maven manual plugin installation

Hi Buddies
I am getting the following error,

[INFO] The plugin 'org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-resources-plugin' does not
exist or no valid version could be found

I had downloaded the corresponding plugin, and I want to know how to install
this one manually.
Help on this issue highly appreciated?
