Knowing the size of the file in terms of bytes rather than lines would be 
helpful, but under the assumption that lines aren't insanely long Xerces's DOM 
should easily be able to handle a file of this size on a machine with a 
reasonable amount of memory.  So, if there's a problem here, hopefully the FOP 
project will have some insight about what to do.
