I am not sure if I understand the issue. Do you mean we should support Kafka's {{Serializers}}? This is something we could revisit at some point, but this is an issue for DataStream API not Table API.
Also I don't think the linked question is necessarily related. There is no mention of {{KafkaAvroSerializer}}. I think the problem is that the user provided a wrong schema for his records.
