[jira] [Created] (DRILL-4945) Missing subtype information in metadata returned by prepared statement

Laurent Goujon created DRILL-4945:
-------------------------------------

Summary: Missing subtype information in metadata returned by prepared statement
                 Key: DRILL-4945
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DRILL-4945
             Project: Apache Drill
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Laurent Goujon
            Priority: Minor

Column metadata returned by prepared statement contains partial type information, especially for interval types.

Currently it only returns "INTERVAL" instead of a more precise type like "INTERVAL MONTH" for example.

There's also no minor type, so the client can adjust the type itself.
