Regression in highlighter

Hi,

I've filled following issue: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-4540
It seems to be a big regresion in highlighter component between 4.0 and 
newer versions.

Karol, I have a feeling nobody is reacting to it because nobody uses
wildcards in highlighter fields?
