[jira] Commented: (WICKET-1189) SpringWebApplicationFactory cannot
load WA from parent bean factory

Stepan Koltsov commented on WICKET-1189:
----------------------------------------
Workaround exists: one can specify "applicationBean" filter param. This works because ac.getBean() looks for beans in parent contexts too.

> SpringWebApplicationFactory loads WAC using ac.getBeansOfType() method.
> However, we have configuration: WA is declared in the application context that is parent to WebApplicationContext provided to SpringWebApplicationFactory. So ac.getBeansOfType() returns nothing and SpringWebApplicationFactory cannot get WebApplication instance.
> BeanFactoryUtils#beansOfTypeIncludingAncestors should be used instead.
