FOP features and new version
Hello,
I have some questions concerning the FOP FO processor:
- I need the following features which are currently not implemented in
FOP -
is it planned to include these in future and when will they
available?
- grid-lines in tables: e.g: <fo:block ... border="thin solid
black">
- avoid block break when a new page begins: <block ..
page-break-inside="avoid" >
- table-header: is it possible to repeat table-headers if the table
wraps over several pages?
I looked the "fo:" specification - but I found nothing in that
direction.
- page-numer: is there a possibility to get the total-numer-of-pages
similar to the current page-number?
- is it possible to set the header of page 1 different to the header
of page 2? How can that be achieved?
- when will the next version released and which new features will be
included?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Johannes Bertscheit

Problems with images
Posted by Malimpensa Stefano 356727/IF <ma...@dei.unipd.it>.
I tryed to compile jai-patch using last cvs sources
and fop-0.12.0-src. When I run generation of pdf I caught
this kind of errors:
- if image is a bmp format pdf generation is wrong
- if image is a jpeg or gif format fop says: "unsupported bmp format"
Can you explain me the exact steps to include images in a pdf?
I need only JAI from sun or other packages are required?
What are formats that current cvs support? ie a bmp with 256 colors
or another format?
Last question: have you ever tried to use ghostview or xpdf to
view a fop generated pdf? Ghostview 3.5.8 doesn't render anything and Xpdf
dumps...
