Quick yes/no question ;-)

Lo all,

Just a quick yes/no... 

When I defined a directive in httpd.conf, will it also be defined in all my
vhosts?

I've been playing arround with mod_gzip, and which to enable gzip compression
in all my vhosts.  Instead of having to copy and paste the same lines over and
over (let's face it, there are quite a few options to set), can I setup 
mod_gzip (and others) once in httpd.conf outside all my vhosts, and safely
be able to assume that the same configuration will be applied to all my vhosts
I have defined?
