[~marck1991], I couldn't reproduce this bug
Could you please confirm that 'backbutton' handler is called by using this code:
{code:javascript}
document.addEventListener("backbutton", function(e) {
    console.log("backbutton is fired");
    e.preventDefault();
}, false);
{code}

Also it'd be helpful, if you provide some information about your device.
