[jira] Commented: (MUSE-112) wsdl2java overwrites build.xml
[ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MUSE-112?page=comments#action_12455243 ]
Andrew Eberbach commented on MUSE-112:
--------------------------------------
Why not just rename the file? The problem with naming the build file something else (say build_axis2.xml or build_[timestamp].xml) is that you would then run
ant -f something
versus
ant
Although this isn't a huge deal, it seems like a special case. I'm working on a smarter overwriting mechanism that will let you control which files are overwritten by the codegeneration to help avoid this kind of trampling.

> Say I want to create both server and client side source. If I run wsdl2java -wsdl .. it generates JavaSource and a build.xml file for ant. If I rerun adding -proxy it generates src (with the client code) and overwrites the build.xml. It would be better if different build files were created.
