as a vi user i habitually end my inserts with the escape key, and thus it is
very frustrating to me that OOo retains no trace of what i was inserting when i
hit escape. when that was several lines of text i just composed, call that
"infuriating". please, please make it such that when i hit escape, what i've
just inserted, and lost, can be "redone". in other words, please make this
work:
. click a cell
. type "hello (or something much longer)"
. hit escape key
. "hello..." is gone
. click "redo"
. "hello..." is re-inserted in the cell

getting rid of value "enhancement" for field "severity".
For enhancement the field "issue type" shall be used.

For any insertion it's necessary to hit the [Return] key at the end of any
insertion. Otherwise the input is not finally closed and cannot processed.

or i suppose the "escape" could be an action which could then be "undone".
either way, just don't totally lose the text!
