when can I find the usage of MessageExchange and NormalizedMessage?

I just went through the tutorial.
Since the core of serviceMix is JBI while the core of JBI is message
exchange.
Where can I find the usage of MessageExchange and NormalizedMessage?
I saw them in some tutorails but I want to get a detailed introduction.
Can any friend help me?
