I know too well that
     http://selfaktuell.teamone.de/artikel/server/htaccess/
and	http://selfaktuell.teamone.de/artikel/server/htaccess-faq/
are really _ancient_ now; I only mention them as they
potentially cover the same topic.
Maybe they can just serve as bad examples ... ;-)
