[jira] [Commented] (FALCON-172) Respect HADOOP_PREFIX in src/bin/falcon-config.sh

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FALCON-172?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13820984#comment-13820984 ]

Haohui Mai commented on FALCON-172:
-----------------------------------

FALCON-162 / FALCON-165 fix most of the problems that I reported previously. However, the script still does not respect HADOOP_PREFIX. I've updated the title and descriptions of the jira accordingly.

The old script uses HADOOP_HOME, which is deprecated by HADOOP_PREFIX. See HADOOP-7388 for more details.

> src/bin/falcon-config.sh should respect HADOOP_PREFIX when it is set. Currently it blindly picks the hadoop binary in the path, which leads to confusion when multiple hadoop distributions are installed inside the system.
