[jira] [Created] (WHIMSY-134) Redundant messages in server error
log
Sebb created WHIMSY-134:
---------------------------
Summary: Redundant messages in server error log
Key: WHIMSY-134
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WHIMSY-134
Project: Whimsy
Issue Type: Improvement
Reporter: Sebb
There are a lot of messages in the error log which don't seem to be errors.
These have the form:
App <nnn> stderr: <ip> - <user> \[Date\] "GET /path HTTP/1.1" 200 - m.nnn
Since these http requests already appear in the access log it seems unnecessary to repeat them in the error log. This makes it harder to find genuine errors.
There are also quite a few instances of the following:
App <nnn> stdout:<space>
with no text. Whilst these are easy to ignore, it would be better not to generate them.
